Accredited Practitioners Master Class - Open to all Human Synergistics accredited consultants.

Session OneThe Circumplex - In Other Words…

Dr. Robert A. Cooke will share some of the products of his thinking, research and consulting with Human Synergistics surveys and inventories based on the Circumplex. Focusing on Leadership/Impact, Dr. Cooke will describe the impact that leaders have on others in terms of the constructive and defensive behaviours they exhibit, the motives driving those behaviours, their propensity to take risks, their negotiating strategies, and the performance of their teams and the larger organization.

Some of the prescriptive and restrictive leadership strategies leading to a positive or negative impact will be discussed, along with the implications of these strategies for the effectiveness of leaders.  Throughout his presentation, Dr. Cooke will describe the Constructive, Passive/Defensive, and Aggressive/Defensive Circumplex styles. He recently shared his work with other international accredited practitioners both longstanding and new. Everyone hugely enjoyed this intimate session and were said to have spent their time “feverishly writing down each gem of knowledge and insight" shared with them. We are delighted to offer this special experience.

Session TwoOrganizational Transformation/Culture Change

  • The need to take an integrated approach to development/transformation
An overview of the "In Great Company” research by Quentin Jones of Human Synergistics Australia showing little organisational change without individual change (reflexivity) and preview research that individual change happens best within a context of cultural change.
  • Moving from transactional solutions to being a trusted advisor
Working with stakeholders to initiate organisational change.

Afternoon Conference Aligning Culture through Strategic Levers for Change | 13.30 – 17.15 | Complimentary!

We are also pleased to welcome Shaun McCarthy, Chairman of Human Synergistics/Australia & New Zealand, who will share his insights into "Why we often see Defensive cultures.” We also welcome Roxanne Ray of Advocate Healthcare, recipient of the OD Network Chicago Impact Award for her Circumplex-based change initiatives.
