Our recent merger.
Human Synergistics/Acumen Inc. of Emeryville, CA is now part of the Human Synergistics family of companies under the directorship of Robert A. Cooke, Ph. D., joining Human Synergistics of Plymouth, MI and Human Synergistics/Center for Applied Research, Arlington Heights, IL.
In April 2004, Acumen International, the publisher of WorkStyles™, entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Human Synergistics International, their original partner in creating the Acumen instruments. The agreement reunited Acumen WorkStyles™ after 20 years with the instrument on which it is based, the Life Styles Inventory™. This reunion permitted the updating of Acumen WorkStyles™ and its re-alignment with Life Styles Inventory™ Circumplex, which had been modified and improved over the ensuing two decades.
In January 2007, Human Synergistics released Acumen WorkStyles™ 2007, which fulfills our goal of integrating the updated circumplex into WorkStyles™ typology and highly personalized reports. In addition, the WorkStyles™ 2007 reports use the latest Web technology resulting in improved online assessment management and report processing.
